DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to maintenance agreements, it appears this section of road should have gone back to the City of Dubuque around May 1969, but was not noticed until later in 1992 and was transferred to the City of Dubuque on March 9, 1993.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 924 in Dubuque County be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Since US 61 and US 151 in the City of Dubuque have been rerouted over a temporary connection via Dubuque City streets to cross the new City Island Bridge to Wisconsin. The portion of the old alignment from Central Avenue northeasterly to a cul‑de‑sac approximately 600 feet north of Lincoln Avenue should be re-designated as Unsigned Iowa 924.

Unsigned Iowa 924 begins in the City of Dubuque at Central Avenue (US 52 and Iowa 3), and travels northeasterly on East Twentieth Street and Rhomberg Avenue to a cul‑de‑sac approximately 600 feet north of Lincoln Avenue in the City of Dubuque.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve including the attached new description of Unsigned Iowa 924 in Dubuque County in the primary road system.

Dubuque:

Beginning at Central Avenue (junction US 52 and Iowa 3); thence northeasterly on East 20th Street and Rhomberg Avenue to a cul‑de‑sac approximately 600 feet north of Lincoln Avenue.
